Barcelona Zoo

The Barcelona Zoo was first opened in 1892 where it included only an exhibition of
the private collection of Luis Martí Codolar. It was located on Codolar´s farm and was
later on moved to the Parc Cituadella, in Barcelona.

The zoo includes over 4000 animals, from over 400 species such as dolphins, reptiles and tropical birds. The area of the zoo has several other services and activities, perfect
for the whole family. You can enjoy the food of one of the restaurants or bars, or
bring your own food and eat it at the picnic area. The children can further go for
pony rides or ride electric cars.

Opening hours:

January, February and 1-15 March: 10:00 - 17:00

16-31 March, April and May: 10:00 - 18:00

June, July, August and September: 10:00 - 19:00

1-25 October: 10:00 - 18:00

26-31 October, November and December*: 10:00 - 17:00

*25/12 open until 14:00
