quatre gatsThis restaurant is one of Barcelona’s institutions in the gastronomy sector as it has such a long history that is already recognized as one of the city’s legends. Ever since 1897 when it had been established on June 12th the Quatre Gats has been a place of art, architecture and bohemian lifestyle trying to bring some of the Parisian artistic life to the city of Barcelona. Having been with this objective it soon lived up to this goal and it became the meeting place for modernist artists and architects among them Pablo Picasso.
Today the restaurant is still inspiration for many and should be on the to-do list when coming to Barcelona for the first time. Also, the Quatre Gats offers a variety of social activities that range from exposition to concerts.

Parc de l´Espanya Industrial

parc l´espanya industrialBarcelona has a lot of beautiful parks with amazing vegetation, buildings, houses, flowers and trees. Another one of these parks is Parc de L´Espanya Industrial. It is located near to the metro and train station Estació Sants and is a perfect place to rest and just enjoy before catching the train and continue the travel.

Barcelona Zoo

Barcelona ZooThe Barcelona Zoo was first opened in 1892 where it included only an exhibition of
the private collection of Luis Martí Codolar. It was located on Codolar´s farm and was
later on moved to the Parc Cituadella, in Barcelona.

The zoo includes over 4000 animals, from over 400 species such as dolphins, reptiles and tropical birds. The area of the zoo has several other services and activities, perfect
for the whole family. You can enjoy the food of one of the restaurants or bars, or
bring your own food and eat it at the picnic area. The children can further go for
pony rides or ride electric cars.

Arc de Triomf

Arc de TriomfThe "Arc de Triomf" of Barcelona was designed by Josep Vilaseca, a Catalan designer. It was built for the Universal Exposition in 1888, and served as the main entrance for the exposition. The Universal Exposition took place in Parc de la Ciutadella which is located very close to the arch.
